Developmental and Sensory Screening

First Things First offers Developmental and Sensory Screening programs in Arizona, catering to family, friends, and neighbors who care for young children from birth to age 5, including informal/unregulated home child care providers, grandparents, foster and adoptive parents, and kith and kin child care providers. Recognizing that many children spend time with caregivers outside formal child care settings, these screenings are crucial for identifying potential developmental and sensory issues early. The programs are free and typically involve classes or group meetings led by trained professionals, where caregivers can learn to better support the health, development, and learning of the children in their care through health and safety practices, educational activities, and a deeper understanding of child development. Contact your local FFN programs to learn more and participate.
