However, some other parties that can be held responsible for a dog attack include dog walkers or sitters kennels, doggy daycares, dog training facilities, or property owners.
Ultimately, the person who owns or was taking care of the dog at the time the dog was attacked is automatically responsible unless the circumstances fall under an exception. Some common exceptions to strict liability include if the person bitten was trespassing at the time, or otherwise teasing or abusing the animal prior to being attacked.
