The Leadership Institute of Nevada’s Social, Emotional, Academic Development (SEAD) Initiatives focus on fostering well-being in schools through a series of wellness workshops. Developed in collaboration with the UNLV Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine and Mindful SEAD, these workshops equip educators and administrators with essential coping strategies to support their own well-being while enhancing student success. Rooted in mindfulness research, the five-part series helps leaders recognize trauma triggers in students and families, promoting a healthier school environment. With a focus on self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making, SEAD empowers education professionals to create supportive, thriving learning communities.
